What is The Hangman Returns about?
Five years have passed since the Hangman, A.K.A Kente
Cromwell Sr, was sent back to Purgatory. He is close to being allowed to enter
Heaven when tragedy strikes back on Earth. His wife is killed by the sorcerer,
Damian Red, who is in search of the Ring of Light for his master, the demon
lord Hangoctuforre. Kente Jr, is now hell-bent on revenge for his mother. However, Kente Jr is not only using the Ring of Light to destroy supernatural
creatures, but he is also killing humans as well. This forces BA, the Bad
Angel, to reluctantly return to Purgatory and help the Hangman escape in hopes
of reigning in his son.
Meanwhile, Hangoctuforre has once again gathered demons and vampires, along with the fallen angel Comet, and Damian Red, to launch another assault on the Earth. The Earth’s only defence is the vampire slayer, Jericho Caine, the demon hunter, Father Tom Padilla, and a wizard, Alexander Merryweather. Together with a new hero, Susan Taki, they once again need to convince the Hangman to join the fight. But the Hangman must deal with Kente Jr first and decide if he even wants to participate in the coming war. With side stories and action scattered throughout, The Hangman Returns is an action-packed thrill-ride.
